URGENT TRANSPORT OF REVERSE
THRUSTER TO AVOID AIRCRAFT DOWNTIME
When an aircraft was grounded in Amsterdam, the
client needed to transport a reverse thruster to
resume operations quickly.
The AOG request came in at 17:00 on Thursday
11th July, with approval granted the same day by
20:30. The 2,500-pound thruster measuring 132”
x 132” x 70” required a cargo aircraft with a larger
door opening. Air Partner arranged a Boeing B747400F for the transport. The thruster was trucked
from Minneapolis, MN, to Chicago, IL, for the 昀氀ight
scheduled to depart on Saturday 13th July.
The shipment was successfully delivered to AMS
on Sunday 14th July.
