Boxes of parts are not the only types of OBC
shipments. Clients also use OBC for important
documents.
An embassy needed to send a passport from
Singapore to Central Africa. A courier with a special
visa was needed to be able to enter Equatorial
Guinea. Once the customer approved our solution,
the Air Partner team was able to reposition the
special courier into Singapore to pick up the
shipment. Afterwards, the courier 昀氀ew from SIN
with a layover in ADD to the destination SSG. In this
case, an important clearance was not necessary
as we were not importing commercial goods. Upon
arrival, the courier handed over the passport to the
昀椀nal receiver at the airport.
A SPEEDY HAND-CARRY SOLUTION
FOR A PRODUCTION LINE
Speed is often the driver of an On Board Courier
shipment. The client requested to send a time
critical shipment urgently needed for a production
line going from Germany to the US. The Air Partner
Cargo team o昀昀ered a solution in 10 minutes, and
the client con昀椀rmed within 20 minutes.
The courier directly picked up the shipment shortly
after the request came in, drove to the airport
and 昀氀ew on a direct 昀氀ight from Frankfurt to San
Francisco. After customs clearance at SFO, the
courier took a taxi to the production facility and
handed over to the shipment in time to avoid a line
down situation.
URGENT OBC FOR PERSONAL
HEALTHCARE ITEMS
Often times when we are traveling for leisure, we
may forget to pack certain items. While it may
be easy to either do without it or purchase items
during our trip, that isn’t always the case, especially
if it’s medically necessary.
Air Partner received a request via our website to
send an OBC from Las Vegas, NV to Zanzibar to
retrieve his personal diabetes test kit from his
home and bring to his vacation destination. Our Air
Partner-enlisted courier was able to safely deliver
the test kit within 48 hours, making the very long
journey from the US via Doha to reach our client at
the Zanzibar airport.
