As a company, we are committed to acting responsibly across
all of our business operations and reducing our impact on the
environment is a key influence in the decisions we take.
That’s why we have launched a unique
Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) scheme,
enabling our customers to purchase SAF
environmental attributes – which provide
a means of purchasing and claiming the
emissions reduction bene昀椀ts associated
with SAF use (without having that physical
SAF directly loaded onto your exact
昀氀ight). These environmental attributes are
associated with SAF that either has been
or will be 昀氀own on by Delta Air Lines.
Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) is a
renewable alternative to conventional
jet fuel, derived from more sustainable
feedstocks. SAF is developed through
advanced processes that signi昀椀cantly
reduce its environmental impact over the
fuel’s lifecycle, as compared to traditional
fossil-based jet fuel.
SAF is signi昀椀cant in its drop-in capability,
meaning it can be blended with traditional
jet fuel and used in existing aircraft
engines without modi昀椀cation. By using
SAF in this immediate and practical
way, airlines can achieve up to an 80%
reduction in lifecycle emissions.

When you book your flight
We’ll do the calculation
Seamless payment
Your account manager will discuss with you
the option of purchasing SAF environmental
attributes – positioning you to claim carbon
reductions against the emissions footprint
of your 昀氀ight.
Using our book-and-claim portal,
your account manager will calculate
the quantity of SAF environmental
attributes you need to purchase to
claim a reduction against the estimated
emissions footprint of your 昀氀ight.
The cost of your SAF
environmental attribute
purchase will be added
onto your 昀氀ight booking.
