A TIME-CRITICAL SOLUTION
We were contacted by a US-based cargo
forwarder to transport six pieces of urgent oil &
gas equipment from Houston, TX to the remote
destination of Nouakchott, Mauritania.
Due to the lack of scheduled freighter service
to the remote destination and the oversized
dimensions of the cargo, our Cargo team
concluded that a hybrid charter solution utilizing
two di昀昀erent aircraft types was the most e昀케cient
and cost-e昀昀ective option. Our US and German
teams worked together, arranging immediate uplift
on the next 昀氀ight out. Using a Boeing 747F from
Houston, TX to Liege, Belgium, we seamlessly
connected to a dedicated AN-26 cargo aircraft for
昀椀nal mile transportation to Nouakchott.
Our experts conducted on-site 昀氀ight
representation at the Liege Airport transfer point
to ensure the cargo was transferred quickly,
providing the client with tangible, real-time
updates during the process. This unique, hybrid
charter solution ensured that this equipment was
delivered to the end user in the quickest possible
manner and within budget for our client.
MULTI-COURIER FLIGHT
We received a request to transport a set of
important documents from Texas, USA to a
production facility located in Niger. Working to a
tight deadline, the most suitable connection was
routed via Europe with a 2-courier solution.
Within an hour of the order being con昀椀rmed, the
昀椀rst courier was ready at the collection location
within the US. The courier then proceeded
directly to Houston airport to check in for the
next scheduled 昀氀ight to Europe.
A second courier, with relevant visas for Niger,
took over the shipment at Amsterdam airport
where the documents were able to be 昀氀own on
to Niamey airport to meet the delivery deadline.
